Nadia Larson, the board chair of the Canadian SADS Foundation, and Cathy Huculak a Genetics Counsellor with Clinical Genetics at the Alberta Children’s Hospital will lead an enlightening discussion about Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and the importance of awareness for this condition. Following the talk, indulge in a unique shopping experience where a portion of the sales will be generously donated to the Canadian SADS Foundation.

Nadia Larson is the board Chair of the Canadian SADS Foundation. In August 2019, Nadia unexpectedly experienced the devastating loss of her son to an undiagnosed heart condition, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). It has become her mission help raise awareness and educate others about HCM, so no other families go through the same experience.
Cathy Huculak is a Certified Genetic Counsellor with Clinical Genetics at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. She has the privilege of working with patients and families experiencing hereditary disorders at many clinics across Canada since completing her program at the University of British Columbia. For the past 7 years, she has focused on inherited cardiomyopathies and arrhythmias.
